Woodkirk has a lively, popular and successful Art Department producing excellent 2D and 3D work. Pupils from year 7 to 9 are taught art compulsory. This involves projects such as painting, sculputure, mask making, drawing, still life and art history. Pupils often enjoy art lessons and many even attend the extra curricular activities run by the department such as Art Club.
Art is also very popular at GCSE, AS and A2 level. Students build up a portfolio of work including a drawings sketch book, paintings and sculpture. Students also get the opportunity to specialise in a preffered area.
