Business Studies at Woodkirk is a popular and successful subject. The department offers a full range of courses both academic and vocational courses at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 as well as extra-curricular activities.
The department is located in the Red Block and students are always welcome to drop in to ask questions or find out more about business issues. There are three main teaching areas, two of which are fully equipped with suites of computers. There are three specialist teachers.
Academic courses at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 follow AQA specifications, while vocational courses follow BTEC specifications. In addition the department also offers the new Business, Administration and Finance Diploma.
