The production, acting, musical and dancing talents of Woodkirk students have been acclaimed over many years, with students performing in national presentations at the London Palladium, the London Festival Hall, Leeds Town Hall and Morley Town Hall and many more venues. We provide students with fantastic opportunities to learn new skills - on stage, back stage, lighting, sound and in the orchestra pit. Students often find that they get a chance to work with a range of people from other age groups and the friendships made through these opportunities often carries on throughout their school life.
We recognise the importance of developing students’ skills through oral work, mime, dance, drama and theatre and this is carried through into their performances. Parents are encouraged to see productions in the Drama Studio and Main School Hall throughout the year, but our annual production is by far and away the most popular bringing audiences from far and wide.
Some of our past productions include Grease, Fame, Les Miserables, Chess and, most recently, Seussical the Musical.
